Yes, It’s True - I Danced on an African TV Show Last Month
I’ll bet you didn’t know I’m a missionary dancer. Well, I didn’t know it either until after my interview on a friend’s Rwandan TV show. He said “Hey we want to see you dance, African style.” Thank God, the video evidence is not online, lol. One of the “added extras” in Rwanda was the opportunity to speak about the goodness and greatness of Jesus on two Christian radio shows, and a TV show. These shows reach an audience of 20+ million Africans in East Africa. When we get out there and serve Jesus multiplies opportunity! I’ll dance for that opportunity anytime.
Rwanda Report
Another unexpected opportunity was to co-fund a youth outreach while I was in Kigali. 1000 young people showed up! I was scheduled to speak, but schedule conflicts didn’t allow at the last minute. Thank YOU for supporting our ministry to allow opportunities like this become a reality!
Our two training conferences in Gisenyi and Bihembe went very well with a total of 55 students in the classes and about 50 received the certificate of completion for my course in The Book of Acts.
The Bishop in Gisenyi thanked us and let us in on the progress in that region: Eight pastors have now been fully ordained in the Nazarene church as a direct result of our GTN training over the last few years. Eight more Gisenyi-region pastors are currently in the ordination process! Hundreds more have received biblical training. God is at work!

South East Asia This Month
I’ll be teaching a three-week long class online in the country of [name withheld for security] in August .
Why online? We can’t travel to this country serve our friends there without endangering them by calling attention to their work. Our friends list the situation as “unpredictable and unstable.” Americans showing up might jeopardize their safety.
Thank God for Zoom. We are going to get the students bible teaching and training in August! Please pray for the safety of the leaders, for the internet to be stable and the power to stay on to allow the teaching to happen with little interruption. Pray also for the orphan children and the many bible school students who live at the facility, inflation is making the situation even more difficult. Most of all, pray for the return of freedom and democracy in this beautiful country.
On The Horizon
I’ll be continuing my one-on-one coaching / mentoring ministry with our friends in Malawi and Rwanda. I just added a new minister that I’ll be coaching / mentoring - David in Rwanda. He is praying about entering missionary work instead of the formal pastorate. Pray for God’s leading in David’s life and for our monthly meetings!
I just bought my flights for Cambodia in October / November and a return to South Sudan is in ink on the Calendar for January.
I have been excited to help both Anthem Church and Encounter Church out with preaching as they have had needs in July. It’s great to serve them and to stretch my preaching legs!
Pray for discernment as I plan and strategize for the 2023 ministry year. Wonderful opportunities are opening up all over the Majority World and I’m prayerfully seeking where God is pointing.
