As 2023 begins to come to a close and 2024 approaches, it's awesome to recognize the essential need for pastoral training in the Majority World (MW) and the strategic window of opportunity that we have right now. Will you prayerfully consider a special end-of-year gift to our ministry?

Incredible Need
Pastors in the MW desperately need Biblical and theological education. In the last twelve months, I've had pastors or groups of leaders say…
“It is appropriate and good for Christians to pray to their dead ancestors and to take part in African ancestor rituals.”
“Jesus’ work on the cross is not enough for salvation, believers need to do works like attending church, being baptized etc., or they can't be saved.”
“Sharing the Gospel with non-believers should be avoided by believers, those people are bad people.”
Many pastors made it clear to me that they didn’t know what the good news of Jesus was. In one training we prayed for 2 pastors' wives to be saved, they hadn’t heard the Gospel because the pastors didn’t know how people get saved.
Pastors NEED to know the Scriptures, but unless someone goes to them to teach them…
85% of the pastors in the MW have NO access to Biblical and pastoral training. The Stats say that here in the West, there is a trained pastor for every 230 people but in the MW there is only one trained pastor for every 450,000 people. WOW! …and… 75% of the world’s Christians live in the MW! God is moving, big time - 70,000 people become Christians EVERY DAY in the MW!
Trained MW pastors are Gospel-Vital and Kingdom-Strategic! Our vision and ministry: taking no-cost Biblical training and ministry mentoring to MW pastors is one of the greatest Kingdom works I can imagine.
Incredible Opportunities
The MW opportunities are bountiful and compelling. In 2024, Jesus has already laid out powerful global opportunities and my plan is to join Him in them! By faith I plan to continue the strategic work I launched in Burundi (2x), to return to Rwanda, restart training in Ethiopia, and spend several weeks in Cambodia training key Christian leaders there. I may also have a unique opportunity to pioneer some pastor training in a very “sensitive” Middle Eastern country. I'm asking God for the right timing to begin, so please pray with me, the region has recently become even more unstable, and proper timing will be crucial.
When I’m not on the road I’ll be training, encouraging, counseling, and coaching pastors online in several MW countries, coaching and caring for beloved local pastor friends, as well as preaching for churches with pulpit needs. I’ll also continue my ongoing work writing fresh, original, Bible-centered/application-oriented training materials for pastors.
I'm incredibly thankful to all of you who have partnered with me to make the work in 2023 a reality. It has made a true difference in leader’s lives! Your continued partnership will change this world, exponentially!
Request: A Special End-of-Year Opportunity
Would you prayerfully consider giving a special year-end gift to fuel our work to “train the untrained, to reach the unreached in the Majority World”?
My goal is to raise an additional $35,000 before this year’s end to provide the needed resources to begin our ministry in 2024 and to allow Andrea and I to be reimbursed for some 2023 ministry expenses.
Many ministries receive a substantial percentage of their total annual support through tax-advantaged Year-End gifts. If God invites you to give, could you make a note that states “year-end”?
Important Note: For a year-end gift to be claimed on your 2023 taxes, it must be postmarked by December 31, 2023. (Crazy, I turn 64 on that day… I don’t feel that “Beatles song” age!)
