Yep, I'm Running Away with the Circus!
In one week, I will be back in the cramped, shiny silver fuselage of an eastbound jet, running away with the Gospel-Circus. It’s the Greatest Show on Earth, and I am thankful to be part of Jesus’s traveling show. It’s a “show” of His gracious blessing to marginalized Christian leaders in the Majority World.
The Next Country on the 2022 Tour is… Ethiopia!
I’ll be working with a GTN team of 15, and our team will train pastors and key leaders in 6 cities on this trip!
I’ll be personally training in 2 cities; The town of Nazareth (the one in Ethiopia, not Jesus’ old neighborhood). It’s often referred to as Adama on current maps. After that I will travel to and teach in the town of Shashamane, a town famous as Zion, “the return to Africa place” of Jamaican Rasta’s! You hear about it in Bob Marley songs.
I’ll be teaching four courses: Bibliology (the background of the Bible), Hermeneutics (how to interpret the Bible for teaching/preaching), Homiletics (sermon delivery for life-transformation), and Personal Evangelism (how to share the Gospel). These four crucial classes will help equip the Ethiopians for a lifetime of practical, effective, and scriptural ministry!

It’s easy to think the people in the “traveling show” are the real missionaries, but this is a team effort. Your financial and prayer support is the only thing that keeps this show on the road. Your worshipful giving IS mission and makes the mission happen. YOUR ministry is impacting the world; your partnership is precious and humbling. Thank you for teaming up with me to reach the Nations!
Prayer requests
Pray that the Ethiopian leaders we teach will train at least five other leaders with what they learn. Multiplication baby!
Pray for no missed flights, no accidents in travel, no lost luggage, etc. I fly out Thursday, March 17th.
Pray for protection, health, and stamina for our teams.
Pray that none of us get Covid while we are there. It’s complicated to get home and hard to find good medical help if Covid strikes us while we’re in Africa.
Pray that none of the team get a false positive Covid test as we prepare to depart for home. This has stranded some of our Global Training Network staff in foreign countries and is a big bummer after a mission.
Pray for 100% fully funded ministry in 2022 – we’re getting closer.
Pray for protection for Andrea, our family, Bond (the dog), and our home while I’m away on the Ringmaster’s business.
Pray for Andrea to find employment here at home.

I’m thankful for new training opportunities in new places now that Covid restrictions are lifted in many countries. Exciting announcements are coming soon!
I feel gratitude for the success of the new training program we started in South Sudan, which will bless tens of thousands of people in the coming years. It will continually expand and make a big difference in this needy country.
I am grateful for God’s provision; my ministry is not fully funded, but we’re making good headway. Thank you, Lord!
I’m blessed to have a wife who lets me ‘run away with the “GospelCircus” to train the untrained, that they will reach the unreached.
