A Mission of Light in the Heart of Darkness
Cambodia is a land of ancient temples enshrouded in creeping jungle, Pol Pot's Killing Fields, horrifying sex trade, human trafficking, and oppressive poverty. “The horror, the horror” as Brando said in Apocalypse Now.
In less than two weeks, I head out to minister to and train the precious pastors who serve the people in this complicated landscape. Cambodia is 85% Buddhist, with many people mixing in spirit worship. We're on a mission of light in the Heart of Darkness.
Our team will teach and train pastors in three different towns over three and a half weeks. We will be in Kampong Chhang, Kampong Cham, and Kampot (look them up!). We will also travel to a fourth town along the Thai border to minister to a group of pastors struggling with church division/factions who have asked for mentoring and problem-solving advice.
I'm excited that my dear friend, Pastor Andy Wulff, will join our team for our first week of training. Pray for God to use Andy in extraordinary ways; he is an excellent pastor/teacher and has much to share.

2022 Budget Deficit
I am genuinely thankful for your generous support and partnership in this ministry. We are not yet fully funded; as a result, we will be $10,000 in the red at the end of 2022. Would you prayerfully consider a special year-end gift to help compensate for this deficit? Erasing the deficit will also provide the needed resources to fund our scheduled training in Tanzania and South Sudan in January.
Uganda / Kenya Online Training
I had a great time teaching 106 pastors and leaders from Uganda and Kenya earlier this month. Some of these pastors minister in a Ugandan refugee camp with people from DR. Congo. It was a privilege to teach them Bibliology, the study of the bible itself.
South East Asia
We wrapped up the five-week course through the Book of Acts in [redacted for security reasons], and the students did very well on their final exam, they “got it”! Pray for these young leaders as they continue to prepare for a life of faithfulness and ministry in South East Asia!
Local News
I'm continuing to invest in leaders locally through mentoring / care / counsel and I was able to do some more guest preaching recently to help a local church in need. It’s been a blessing to be available to be a blessing.

Please pray for our travel to and from and also around Cambodia. I fly out on October 28th and then begin the long flights home on November 20th.
Please pray for the health and safety of our whole team.
Please pray for Kingdom impact, understanding, and encouragement to the Cambodian pastors.
Please pray for the multiplication of ministers and ministry through the leaders trained on this trip.
